Yesterday, both my daughter and I celebrated our birthdays. Instead of making a cake I decided to make pink cupcakes with a creamcheese buttercream frosting. They tasted yum!

These pyramid boxes are larger than the ones I made for her school friends. I filled them with lots of bonbons.

Birthday Party favours for my daughter's school friends

These are the party favours I made this year to give to my daughter's school friends on the occasion of her 8th birthday. They are small pyramid boxes that I filled with a nice eraser and a few bonbons. This year I am soooo behind with the preparations for my daughter's (and mine,; we celebrate our birthdays on the same day!) birthday party this week. I am still recovering, after a month, from the worst flu case I have ever had. My energy levels are still low. My daughter was also very ill, to the point that she had to miss 9 days of school!!!

Fleamarket find - Quirky bird from Porches Pottery

Today I found this querky bird at a local fleamarket for 50 Euro cents! It is made by Porches Pottery (Olaria do Algarve) (www.porchespottery.com) located in the Algarve, Portugal. I love this bird!
